Welcome to Peachy Speechie Speech Pathology

Hello and welcome to Peachy Speechie! 

My name is Isabella Gomez, the director and speech pathologist at Peachy Speechie. I am a Certified Practicing Speech Pathologist (CPSP) and am a registered member of Speech Pathology Australia. Since obtaining my Master of Speech Pathology Degree at the University of Melbourne 8 years ago, I have greatly enjoyed working with and supporting many preschool aged children and their families in the private sector, as well as a wide range of school-aged children within the school setting in the North and Western suburbs of Melbourne. 

Peachy Speechie is a paediatric speech pathology service for preschool and primary school-aged children (ages 2 to 12). 

Services include the assessment and intervention for:

• Speech (articulation of speech sounds)
• Fluency (Stuttering)
• Receptive and Expressive Language (Early Language Development)
• Literacy and Systematic Phonics Development
• Social Communication Skills

We currently have immediate availability for childcare, kinder and school visits.

Due to demand we are opening our very own speech pathology clinic! Renovations are currently underway.

We will have clinic availability from Saturday 7th June 2025 at our brand new clinic location in the Niddrie Arcade (Keilor Road, Niddrie VIC 3042)

 Assessment

Fees for assessment is in line with the NDIS pricing of $193.99 per hour. This is to ensure fairness across all families receiving the same service. 

Assessments range from 1 hour to up to 3 hours in duration depending on the age of your child and the area assessed. Rest assured, we only do 1 hour or 2 at most (for school-aged children only), in one session because we know that children get tired and lose concentration and we don’t want a decrease in attention to impact the assessment results. The total cost for a comprehensive assessment will include the time (in hours, hourly rate) taken to administer the assessment plus the time (in hours, hourly rate) taken to complete the formal written report. 

More information about the costs of assessments can be discussed at your speech pathology appointment. 

Intervention

 Fees for intervention (therapy) is in line with the NDIS prices of $193.99 per hour. This is to ensure fairness across all families receiving the same service. 

 You do not need a referral to receive speech pathology assessment or intervention at Peachy Speechie.

NATIONAL DISABILITY INSURANCE SCHEME (NDIS)

Peachy Speechie is able to support children and their families who are Self-Managed and Plan-Managed.

NDIS funded families are billed in accordance to the NDIS fee schedule. In order to receive speech pathology services, we require a copy of your child’s NDIS plan before their initial consultation.

MEDICARE

 Your child may be eligible for a Medicare rebate when accessing Peachy Speechie Speech Pathology services. 

Please consult your GP to determine eligibility under the Chronic Disease Management Plan (CDMP). The CDMP can help cover the costs of up to five speech pathology sessions per calendar year. 

Please provide a copy of this form at the first appointment in order for you to claim the rebate.​ 

PRIVATE HEALTH INSURANCE

Depending on your private health fund and 'extras' cover, you may be eligible for a rebate on your Speech Pathology consultations. 

Contact your private health insurance provider to determine eligibility, limits and how much you can get back for assessment/therapy services.  Please contact your health insurance fund directly and quote the following item numbers:

Item 350 – 60 minute therapy session

Following your payment, we will provide you with a receipt that will enable you to claim directly with your private health fund to obtain your rebate.
